My Favorite Combo:

Trend #3

Feathers?

Yes, please. Although you may not have seen many feathers incorporated into modern day weddings up until now, the trend of mixing different textures and textiles is ultimately leading in that direction. When done right, feathers can be a flattering accessory that will be sure to WOW!

Flocked in Feathers

Although I will never get tired of a classic fur stole for winter weddings, there's something about a jacket made of the softest of feathers that really glams up a look and takes it to a whole new level! Check out these dreamy jackets now at LibertyInLove.

Pair it with:

A shiny wrap for your bridesmaids.

Keep it glam with a little shimmer but don't overpower your bridal look by pairing your feathers with a solid wrap or pashmina.

Pro Style Tip:

Skip pashminas with the tassels. Tassels tend to make an ensemble look a little more casual and a little less glam.

DIY Tip:

Find the PERFECT color in a wrap that has tassels? Don’t be afraid to take a pair of scissors to those bad boys. This will ultimately be the easier and least expensive option.

My Favorite Look:

This ostrich feather stole STUNS and can be worn in any season if the theme is just right. The delicate feathers will be the cherry in top to any bridal look.

Trend #4

Fur

And last, but not least, a winter wedding staple. Fur + winter weddings will never go out of style if done right. Though I should not technically call this a trend, I always want to remind my winter brides of this fun yet timeless option.

Real Wedding: Adrian and Joe

A Flourished Affair couple (blog post coming soon!)

Since fur stoles have been a hot item for years, most major bridal stores and sites carry them, which means more options for you. YAY! Check out popular brands like Revelry, Azazie, and David's Bridal for an assortment of options.
